ARE YOU SURE?
ARE YOU SURE THAT IF YOU WERE TO DIE TODAY THAT YOU WOULD
GO TO HEAVEN?
Suppose you did die and were standing before the pearly
gates and a big angel was standing there and he looked down at you and said,
“WHY SHOULD I LET YOU IN?” What would you say?
That’s a tough question, but there is a sure answer.
THE BIBLE TELLS HOW WE CAN BE REALLY SURE WE MAKE IT TO HEAVEN.
- “For
ALL HAVE SINNED AND COME SHORT OF THE GLORY OF God.” (Romans 3:23)
Everyone makes mistakes, and nobody is perfect except God.
We might as well admit it, we are all sinners.
- “For
the WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH.” (Romans 6:23)
Sin pays wages just like a job.
We are all sinners, so if we just get what we deserve we will all die
unsaved.
- “But
God demonstrated his love for us in that while we were yet sinners, CHRIST
DIED FOR US…being justified by his blood, we shall be SAVED FROM WRATH
through him.” (Romans 5:8,9) GOD
LOVED US ENOUGH TO SEND JESUS TO DIE IN OUR PLACE SO WE WOULDN’T HAVE TO
DIE. HIS BLOOD PAID FOR OUR
FORGIVENESS.
- “But
THE (FREE) GIFT OF GOD IS ETERNAL LIFE through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
(Romans 6:23b) GOD HAS THE GIFT
OF ETERNAL LIFE FOR US THROUGH JESUS. We
need to know how to receive that gift. THIS IS HOW
- “For
whosoever shall CALL upon the name of the Lord SHALL BE SAVED.” (Romans
10:13) Whosoever means
everyone, including you. To
“CALL” means everyone has to personally call on Jesus to save them.
It’s between you and God. HOW
DO WE CALL ON HIM?
- “That
if you will CONFESS with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and BELIEVE in your
heart that God has raised Him from the dead, YOU SHALL BE SAVED.” (Romans
10:9) GOD DIDN’T SAY WE MIGHT
BE SAVED, HE SAID WE “SHALL BE SAVED.”
We must confess Jesus as the Lord of our live and believe in His
resurrection to be saved.
JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY TO GET INTO HEAVEN. The
Bible says, “He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God
does not have life.” (1John 1:12)
JESUS TOLD US HOW TO RECEIVE HIM INTO OUR LIFE.
He said, “Behold, I stand at the door (of your heart) and knock; if any
man hears my voice and opens the door I WILL COME IN.” (Rev. 3:20)
PRAY THIS PRAYER TO RECEIVE JESUS AND TO BE SURE OF HEAVEN:
Jesus, I know I’m a sinner and I can’t save myself.
I repent of my sins and I trust in you to forgive my sins and save my
soul Jesus, I confess with my mouth
that you are now the Lord of my life. I
believe that God raised you from the dead, I open the door of my heart and ask
you to come in and live in me and I'll live for you.
I'll seek your will for my life. Thank
you for saving me. Amen
